Introducing new ninja characters Sora and Arin, and a baby dragon character Riyu. This follows research we did with kids back in 2021, which showed they really wanted dragons to be front and center of the new story.” says Nigel Kong, Head of Product for LEGO Ninjago. So, as well as welcoming back our well-known ninjas, we are equally excited to introduce new fantastic ninjas and dragon characters. Tough call on this vote as both should be moving up together.“We wanted to create a new LEGO Ninjago world with exciting characters and elements that invites new fans in and stays true to the iconic legacy. Worst helmet on a minifigure ever though, actually broke out the Cra-Gl-e for both of em. It obviously looks 'simpler' than 700+pc dragons, but just NEVER looks bad with the incredible colors. Just needs a few of the atypical ship buttons on the bottom of the torso.īest playability though is the overlord dragon, dirt cheap, decent size and damn if it's tough, it rarely every throws a part, I outright bought one each for her and me. If you're just talking AFOL on the shelf looks, it may just be the best ever. Still have Jungle up at the top with Sorcerers' Skull. Water definitely has the best figures and side-builds, everything is completely awesome with it. Jungle has tons of pose-ability, even vertically standing with 6yo play and looks incredible with very little 'play repair' After a while looking at it the water dragon looks very 'jointed', but the overwhelming blue still looks great. The lower legs/feet really bring this one down. Joints seem to be loosening too and i really depends on those tiny feet being planted perfectly flat. On the water dragon, going to eventually re-engineer to the angled plate/robot arm setup most have these days. Main problem with the jungle is the arched back can separate as it's different than all the others, but usually it just snugs back into place. They fly off nearly EVERY single time she moves it around. I have 10 or so dragons and she's NEVER lost a part.īeing she fully plays with them, such as legs-up every time it's 'flying' and head poses acting like stationary dragons are 'communicating' with each other, the water dragon is a PITA with the claws. I let my 6yo play with the dragons regularly and it's utterly amazing that if the tiniest part falls of she is 100% aware and either fixes it or brings it to me. I love the water dragon too but the claw design is incredibly flawed. I have both and the dense build of the Jungle dragon makes it probably the best shaped of them all, and the color of course is incredible, along with the printing on the face with different eye 'expressions'.
